Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

care to explain why? high repair cost?

POST 6Original post

nothing really to explain. I didn't (nor did my family) experience bad reliability, etc., but for me it was just that "it" factor I didn't feel. That's all.

POST 9Original post

Wife is driving an 02' CL500 as the replacement vehicle to her 00 996. Very different animal, but, I gotta say, if you are not in the sporty mood, its a heck of a ride.

A guy in our porsche club has a cherry ALL original 500sl that he is thinking of selling if anyone is interested. Jim [email removed] 1982 Porsche 928 2000 Arena red 996

POST 11Original post

Had a 1998 SL (red w/tan interior) Purchased with 4200 miles on it, sold with 13,500 miles after 3 years. No problems at all, except the mice chewing thru plug wires when it was stored in a warehouse. (happened twice or three times) Decided to trade in on my daughter's new SLK for a college graduation present. Enjoyed that car, but enjoy the 911 more!

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
