Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This weekend, I removed the clam and push rods making my top operate in the manual mode. (The top was stuck in the closed position and I have not had time to examine the cause all though one push rod cap was broken). I am ok opening and closing the top manually. However the red dash light now stays on while I am driving the car. anyone know if there is a micro switch somewhere that I can jump out to get the dash light to stay off? I assume there had to be a limit or micro switch somewhere near the transmissions.

POST 2Original post

I remember reading it varies by year....but my 2000s has a micro switch in the driver side transition. you can tell by the wire leading to it.

POST 3Original post

Be sure the parking brake is all the way down on the plunger switch there.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Rich XTR, we have the same year/model Porsche. I will check for micro switch and see if I can jump it.
