Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I think the 968CS used the standard engine but was a striped out version with LSD.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

'It is built on the Boxster platform. We have some more ideas for the Cayman. That means more products. So in the future there could be more volume -- it is clearly a top-down introduction .' From the sound ofthat there will not be a Cayman Turbo. Or Cayman RS for that matter. But if my memory serves me correctly, 968CS was cheaper than the standard ones. I think the 968CS used the standard engine but was a striped out version with LSD. Here is hoping. If Porsche annouced Cayman CS that is cheaper than the S I will order one immediately.

POST 3Original post

I'm not ultra sure but I believe the 968 CScost more than a base model........as it had some items removed, but added the M030 suspension and brakes standard.......even 17's were added I believe. I don't believe we will see a CS or Turbo version of the Cayman anytime soon. We will see a base model in a year or so and who knows after that.......

POST 4Original post

Over the years I have learned to be suspicious of the Porsche publicists and their leaks and comments to the media. They are masters of indirection. If you're trying to guess where they intend to take the product line, it's best not to read their press./fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/crazy.gif
