Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Could someone show me where is the crankshaft (not camshaft please) located? I found info on the 97 engine but not on dfi. I learn it should be: in front of the AOS behind the right rear wheel But I cannot find it. Need some help here thanks And Happy holiday season to everyone I gifted my Cayman with 8l of fresh new oil for Christmas ?

POST 2Original post

Found it. It is on the left back side behind the oil filter and below the air inlet hose The easiest to reach it is to remove the MAF and air hose to the throttle The difficulty is to get the right tool to reach the screw it is not roomy the big sensor with two screws on the the front is the oil temperature and pressure On the right is the air hose and between the hose and the two screws the black bit in the light is the crankshaft sensor.

POST 4Original post
