Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I am replacing my starter so I removed the plenum and this piece of plastic corrugated piping broke (17 years in the heat surprise). Looking to replace it but can't find the name of it and no parts places seem to have a diagram of it. This is from a dead listing on ebay. Circled in red.

POST 2Original post

Found it. Air oil separator vent line. Found it at Pelican Parts .

POST 3Original post

You should also replace the other longer accordion hose that goes from the AOS to the top of the engine on the 4-6 bank, now that you removed the intake plenum should be much easier..

POST 4Original post

I did not touch that one - as a former Audi owner I see that Porsche follows the VAG standard of putting plastic pipes in hot engine bays where they become brittle and destroy themselves upon removal, so I don't mess with them unless I have to! This one for a temp measure I used a 1/2 inch nylon hosebarb to repair.
