Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Use polyurethane mounts' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend range)' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Anyway, do these solid mounts replace rubber mounts?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You've been a busy little bunny, haven't you Tomasz? In your quest to find more rear traction to feed your newly acquired ATB habit, I'd suggest more agressive rear camber (there's about 1.5 deg to be had without mods) and a little toe-in. Play with rear tyre pressure a bit before you go off and buy sway-bars which may or may not help.
Too thick a rear sway-bar will make it tail happy, unless the front one is uprated too. But too thick both of them will make the car unpleasant when you're not on full attack, and if I recall correctly will push you wide.
The Solution Several of Us have Found for Track Use is:
Eibach Cayman Spring Kit (Not the Boxster One!)
H&R Anti Roll (Sway) Bars - Rear Bar on Stiffest Setting of the Two Available
BTW - These are Solid Bar Instead of the Hollow Tube Porsche Ones.......
Mantis Sport Rear Stress Bar and Solid GearBox Mountings
Front Carbon Fibre Strut Brace
Full Geometry Set Up
1.2 Camber Front
2.1 Camber Rear

And as Pint of Brew Says - Play with the Tyre Pressures........
This set-up removes Understeer and there is a Hint of OverSteer on a Balanced Automobile...............
This is an Inexpensive Solution for General Track Use................
OK.
I was at first hoping to do this without sway bars. I want to install the Eibach springs as well, as I think the car needs to be a bit lower.
This will screw up CG, and bars will help. I may just go all out with the suggestions above.

And before you ask "why didn't my car come with this from factory?" the answer is a solid mount makes a fantastic platform to transfer any frequency, any vibration at any amplitude from the engine/box to the chasis. Put it mildly, your car will vibrate and reverberate a lot more. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, just it's the reason drivers in race cars have to wear ear defenders and it's speculated it's a major reason why race-driving is so physically exhausting.

Talk With 'Tess Tickle' About His Solid GearBox Mounts......... He Will Say the Same....................
Hey Karel, I may have come accross more negative than I intended to re. the solid mounts. I did ride in Tess' car, and I didn't mean to insinuate it requires either ear defenders or is excessively harsh.
Perhaps my wording was not clear, the Cayman with mounts vibrates more, and stripped race cars with solid mounts and bushings are excessively harsh, but the CS with mounts is deffinitely not a stripped race car with solid mounts and bushings.
Guys, easy to come across negatively or harsh, just something that you have to be able to filter on forums. If you think about it, if many of us met at a parking lot we would have a great chat.
Anyway, do these solid mounts replace rubber mounts? Is there something in between? On my Audi I am using polyurethane mounts.
Last thing I want is to anger Karel, as we will meet in a car-park sooner or later!
From what I recall in Tess's car they're aluminium. I thought his car had too much reverb, but that could have been the clear engine cover, the de-snork, the exhaust, the catless headers, or the SRP he had installed, combined with the box mounts.
poly mounts should not last longer than correctly designed solids, but they'll deffinitely moderate the amount of NVH transferall to the chasis.
