Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does any one know for sure if these centre caps would fit my wheels?? The centre cap part number is 997.361.303.01 From that I guess they are 997 wheel caps. Do these differ in size from the 996 wheel caps? :?: Oh, I have 18" sport designs (GT3) :thumb:

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great, that was quick  Thanks

POST 4Original post

Now the question is do you prise the old caps off with the risk is chipping your alloys or do you jack the car up,remove each wheel and pop the old caps off from the inside :?

POST 5Original post

Take the wheels off!!!!!!!!!!! I've tried to prise the caps off on my last car, it just is not worth the damage to the wheels for the time it takes to take the wheels off!

POST 6Original post

Don't you have 2 small holes in the caps? Insert 2 bent coat hooks and pull...simplezz TB

POST 7Original post

There should be two small holes in the centre cap itself. Just use a strong plastic implement and prise them out. No need to jack up the car. ~ Maxie

POST 8Original post

I think there must be some with holes and some without. My ones definitely did not have holes!

POST 9Original post

My new caps have two small holes (silver caps with large black crests) but I haven't inspected the old ones yet as it was dark when I got home last night (naff looking caps with the 'Carrera 4' logo)

POST 10Original post

My old ones had holes, the new ones didn't. Just take the wheels off. You can give them a good clean at the same time and you won't risk chipping the paint by prising them off, which if you do you will kick yourself! Regards geehils

Ah, corkscrew !! Saves me bending a wire coathanger uh: For the record the 'Carrera 4' caps have holes (you can make them out in the Porscheshop photo.I also ran my finger over the cap in the dark tonight).

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Didn't end up going for these in the end. I have seen another set though & need some advice. Apparently they are official Porsche centres & were bought for Cayman wheels. Unfortunately, seller doesn't know part number or diameter. Can anyone help with what these are & if they will fit my 18" sport designs?

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any ideas guys? Auction ends soon !!
