This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm fitting some mesh to the front air intakes to reduce the amount of debris collecting in the corners of the radiator. There is a cowling to direct the air into the centre, what do people think about drilling a hole a little larger than the mesh at each end to allow debris to flush through?

POST 2Original post

I've fitted mesh to both my previous C4 and my GT3 and, if you pick a reasonably fine mesh, nothing makes it past the mesh to need flushing out, so my advice would be to simply fit the mesh without drilling holes.

POST 3Original post

holes Hi I did it on mine and it made no difference to the cooling and debris could be flushed away with a hose no problem. I just cut a segent from the inner corner you cant even see it from the outside.

POST 4Original post

I have just meshed my front bumper while changing the rads, after the first drive you could see how much debri would normaly end up in the rad ducts.
