Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I just installed my Pioneer unit with the Bose kit from EuroMotorSpeed, perfect fit and finish, and everything works perfectly.
Leading evidence: 'Install pioneer unit' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'best option' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean buttons real good' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I am currently using a Motorola T505, which is pretty decent (but old).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Are there any good options to integrate bluetooth in? I am currently using a Motorola T505, which is pretty decent (but old). It can take calls and its a visor model so unobtrusive. The cigarette lighter models might be tricky since there isn't a great place to put them (and they can look fugly). Maybe there is something more native by now?
Honestly, if you want something that looks like an OEM option, going to an aftermarket system is really the only option. Which would also give you so many more modern features like Nav, XM, Backup Camera,
CarPlay
, etc.
Yeah, I just saw this last night. Last time I looked (while ago), this didn't exist. Is this what I need for a 2006 S with the PCM and Bose (pretty sure). I doesn't say
Cayman
, but I am assuming it will work since it says for
Boxster
and it looks right.

Sadly, no, if you have Bose (and want to retain it's functionality), you need a whole different setup.

Suncoast Porsche Parts & Accessories Aftermarket Radio Installation Kit
Is this it, but need the BOSE integration option? What does retaining the BOSE functionality do? Would I miss it? It is $225 but then $775 for the BOSE kit. Yikes. And we don't even have a head unit yet, haha.
Yup, that's it, you can also purchase it on EuroMotorSports ebay page. (it's literally the same kit)
Basically, if you want all the speakers/sub to work as they do now, you'll need that integration (MOST HUR) kit. The good news is that, if you ever sell your car, you can just remove everything, throw the stock HU back in, and sell the MOST HUR kit here, it won't last long in the classifieds.
Thanks for the help! Sort of expensive, but probably the best option. Curious, what model head unit did you go with? I hear good things about Pioneer and Alpine.
Very cool. That looks like a nice unit. I am debating about the
Carplay
.
Now you just gotta refinish those Temp and Fan buttons. I just repainted mine and they look great. I have also been messing around with a 3D printed version so that I can get the original icons (I lost that with the refinish).
If you DIY, make sure to clean the buttons real good. Then use some alcohol on it. A tiny slotted screwdriver can get in the grooves well. Also, use at least 3 coats of paint. I used 2 the first time around and at night you could see a bit of light shining through. Had to add 2 more coats. The little part at the bottom is the 3D printed part. It works pretty well, but I have to redo it to get a better finish.
