Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 5Original post

I am always curious why the 997 with the 3.6 motor is that much faster than the 996. The 997 gets 5 more horsepower but also weighs slightly more. Aren't the gear ratios the same too?

POST 6Original post

well... if your comparing it to a 99 it's not that much fast at all... .in fact in gear accel is the same... my friend has one with light weight rims and we were dead even in strait line trials for the whole afternoon... 997 isn't faster than 996C2

POST 8Original post

actually no.... and I should have mentioned that... my bad... my 99 had the GIAC flash only & K&N flat panel filter... but on the flipside he had lightweight champion 19" wheels but his engine was stock.

POST 9Original post

I'm just glad to see that my car can clock in below 5 sec in 0-60 accelerations...not that I would want to try launching it like those press guys!
