Is it possible to stream music from my phone to
CDR-30
via bluetooth? If it is, how's it done? I read owner's manual, but it only mentions MP3 encoded CDs not streaming. Phone is a
Samsung
Vibrant Galaxy S, no problem with it being recognized by
CDR-30
.
Only via aux-in (if you have it) and additional BT kit like this one:
Amazon.com: Scosche motorMOUTH Plug and Play Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit: Cell Phones & Accessories
Checked out link, isn't this for radios without bluetooth?
CDR-30
has bluetooth capability and I'm using my phone with it. Yes I have AUX input which works great with my
Ipod
, but I'd like to use one device instead of two, (use
Samsung
for both phone and music.)
it has bluetooth but it doesn't support the A2DP profile which allows you to stream music.. hopefully in the
next
generation
PCM
/CDR it will be supported
Thanks!....now I understand.
This may be late, but will help those currently looking for an A2DP solution for the CDR30 Radio
A2D-CDR30
I got the simpliest solution! Paid 19.99 on
amazon
for Coredy BR-100 Bluetooth 4.0 Receiver aptX A2DP. It plugs into the aux and pairs with
iphone
6 in seconds.
Battery
lasts 12 hours or you can
plug
it in the usb port for endless play. Technically any bluetooth receiver would work (not a transmitter)
So using this OP would loose the CDR30's support for BT phone calls. Seems like the AUX input would be a cleaner solution.
I installed this unit on my 2009
Cayman
and it works flawlessly. Connects as soon as the ignition is turned on. Nice clean connection and it doesn't interfere with the BT connection for phone calls. I had a question and when I spoke to Jay at Discount Car Stereo, he gave me his cell phone number to contact him directly, he even called me back in a few days to check on my progress. He actually cared that this adapter worked correctly, and that I was happy with the results. Worth a look!!!
has anyone used this option? I have tried other universal aux Bluetooth adapters and get engine noise even with filter... wonder if this option above would give better quality sound, definitely be cleaner looking install than having all those wires hanging around.
