Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looking to upgrade the steering wheel on my tip - any recommendations? Found the link below from a company in USA. Like the look of their design https://www.vividracing.com/porsche-996-986-oem-upgraded-customized-steering-wheel-p-152498015.html Any companies in the UK i can take my old one in and exchange?

POST 2Original post

What are you trying to achieve? You could possibly get your original wheel re-trimmed and a flat bottom added? I got mine retrimmed in alcantara from Royal: http://royalsteeringwheels.com/ Another place that gets good reviews is Design LS, although they are more expensive than Royal. https://designls.co.uk/index.php/automotive/steering-wheels Personally, I find most aftermarket steering wheels look absolutely ghastly. The one you posted a link to is no exception. It's your car though and this is my personal taste which will likely differ to yours! :thumb:

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes looking to get re-trimmed with with carbon look. also cant get on with the tip buttons so might look at going the paddles route.

POST 4Original post

I'd speak to one or both of those re-trimmers to see what options you have. I suspect that they would be able to do what you want for less than the price of that Vivid racing one and you'll keep an OEM (ish) look to the wheel. Failing that, there are guides on how to diy paddles onto a stock steering wheel using Merc paddles. You could get a used wheel from eBay, do the mods to the paddles and then send to get re-trimmed?
