Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Removed the plastic guards near the firewall covering the battery, etc to clean some debris. Found this loose plastic tube on the passenger side as shown in pic. The other end seems to be bundled with the AC metal hoses and disappearing into the wheel well. Any idea on where it plugs into? It’s not the tube to vent the battery as that’s on the other side and already attached to the battery. Many thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 2Original post

That is some crazy front engined Boxster you have ... That's the battery vent tube.

POST 3Original post

With the engine in the front on your car, does it have a spare engine under the trunk? That sure looks like a battery vent tube to me.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

LOL - thanks guys, totally missed that in my subject title... and yup, there was a vent port that was capped on that side of the battery that I missed.
