Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Apolgies if this issue has been dealt with already on this forum, however, am seeking feedback on what brake rotor /caliper upgrades other owners are using?

POST 2Original post

Other than Motorsport brake pads, I never found the brakes wanting for performance. Is this a want, or need? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

POST 3Original post

The S front rotors are bit bigger than the base. Has anyone tried that as an upgrade to their base?

POST 4Original post

Due to elevated levels of pad wear at trackdays, I swapped to the S front brakes on my 2.7.

POST 5Original post

I find the front brakes a little underpowered on the base, so my thinking was to buy a set of Cayman S front discs and calipers, as I’m lead to believe they’re a direct swap. I have the Cayman S wheels already on the car, so I’m assuming they will fit inside the rim.

POST 6Original post

GiroDisk/ Cayman S caliper with a spacer will produce much more stopping power. Then add a 996 GT3 Cup air duct deflector to cool the brakes. (Bottom one)

POST 7Original post

Question: Underpowered as in not stopping efficiently enough? Or, you have to apply much more pressure to pedal to achieve desired results? I only ask because the brake boost is much lower than most cars, allowing for better modulation. My RS 60 has Big Reds so even with stock pads, IT STOPS! But you have to really push the pedal hard to get into ABS.
