Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does the rear spoiler on an early 996 deploy automatically? I know there is a switch to raise it manually. Also, does the dash light come on whenever it is deployed (automatically or manually)?

POST 2Original post

The spoiler automatically deploys when vehicle speeds reach 120km/h or about 75 mph. I don't believe the dash light is supposed to come on when deployed, whether manually or automatically. The light will display if and when where is a fault with the spoiler, however, I may be wrong.

POST 3Original post

Correct... Dash light means a fault. Switch is unlabeled and located on the driver foot well kick panel (also fuse box cover). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
