Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

This problem was coincidental with an OPC changing the RMS, however, the work was done about two months ago and the car has not driven much since.
Leading evidence: 'coincidental' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'coincidental' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi there
This problem was coincidental with an OPC changing the RMS, however, the work was done about two months ago and the car has not driven much since. I think it might be hard to go back and claim that it might be their fault. I am hoping it is just a loose connection on the sensor as it is very intermittent.
I would be extremely grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction in order to locate the sensor and if possible the colour of the wires and whether anything has to be removed in order to access them.
Regards
David

Hi Richard
I had a good look through the thread you sent to me and i can't see anything that is black with two separate connections on top and positioned close and underneath the a wiring loom (as shown in the thread).
My car has two connectors one black and one orange that are higher than the one shown in the thread. Do you believe one of these could be the oil indicator sensor?
Please see attached photo.
Regards
David
See the fluted cable conduit in the bottom right hand side of your picture? Look underneath it - further back, and lower down. The sensor has two wires going to it - one is Green with a White tracer, and the other is Green with a Red tracer.
At last i found the sensor and managed to remove the two wires and reseat them. Hopefully, this might overcome the problem, if not, i guess the sensor has to be changed.
