Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

There is a threaded rod betwen the brake pedal and the servo and it can be adjusted, there are also measurements for the height in relation to the accelerator pedal in the service/repair manual.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a small issue. I think that Porsche may have placed the position of the breakpedal to high. My problem is that if you have you foot on the gas pedal, and have to move it quickley to the brakpedal, then you have to move your foot up and over, rather than just over, thus loosing precious time .. So does anyone know it is possible to lower the position of the break pedal? Car in question is a triptronic 996 2003

POST 2Original post

Can't say I've ever had a problem with the positioning of the pedals, in fact I find that they are placed perfectly for heel-and-toe downshifts. Not sure if they are adjustable, but be careful that you don't place the brake pedal too close to the posiiton of the accelerator as under emergency braking, there could be chance of pressing the brake and accelerator simultaneously which belive me, is not a nice experience!!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

heel and toe, not an issue here, since it is a Triptronic But I still feel that the brake pedal is located way higher than in my old M3 SMG E46, as well as the much higher than the Boxster S I used to drive.. NB, it is not a problem, but would be great if it could be lowered...
