Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I would like to hear/read thoughts of those who have owned winter floor mats/liners from both WeatherTech and Lloyd. I hope I posted this in the right place and yes, I did try to search. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I have the Weathertech heavy rubber floor mats. I learned that they are the ones who make the Monster Mats for VW which I have always liked. I purchased these instead of the Porsche rubber mats simply because I wanted beige to reasonably match the Luxor interior. So far...........I like them but I may not be testing them the way you intend for feedback.....the worst they get in southern Florida is some beach sand .

POST 3Original post

Great idea for a thread! I'm in the floor mat market too. I've gone back and forth on rubber or carpet (Hmm, maybe there's a joke there). I like Weathertech rubber (not the form fitting) because of their durability. They'll look nice years from now where the carpet mats tend to show hideous wear, especially where your heal rests. But I think the carpet mats look nicer, cleaner, actually more sporty. The Weathertechs have so damn many channels it's make my head spin. Both are comparible in price. I'll probably go with the carpet and replace them when they look ratty. Probably not the kind of "review" you were looking for, but maybe it will help.

POST 4Original post

When I bought my car (sand beige) the driver side mat was stained so I went back and forth over rubber or carpet replacements. I ended up getting the Rennline track mats. Not the best thing for wet shoes, though, but I like them.

POST 5Original post

Thanks to all. One more question in this vein. The foot box in the Cayman isn't the largest. Does the floor liner take up a noticeable amount more space than the mat?

POST 6Original post

WeatherTech mats dont absorb any noticeable space. They are step into your car after walking through the slush proof. They rinse down easily and last a long time. I have them in my truck and my ski vehicle. The cayman didnt get them given the level of abuse (or lack thereof) it receives. They are worth the premium over factory rubber mats or any other aftermarket mat.

POST 7Original post

I have the weathertech liner in my civic hybrid. Great protection for the entire floor and takes up very little space. My Porsche is currently in hibernation mode. I do have the lloyds premium carpet mats in the Porsche with red letters and piping. Love the look. Sorry I can not help with Lloyd's winter mats, but both the products I do have mentioned above are top notch.

POST 8Original post

WeatherTech floor liners in my Cayman . They fit well. I like 'em a lot.

POST 9Original post

The rubber mats are the most long lasting and durable mats available for any car. In most of the cases, you get them for free from the car dealer your purchase your car from. Mats do not slip. And fact makes them safe. 3 D car floor mats: provide for high quality mats that are both good looking and model specific. And hese mats are expensive and help in giving a premium look to the car. They also provides for a premium fit and finish to the interiors of the car.

Nice & inarticulate self promotion. I get enough of that in the daily briefing.
