I'd rather drive it across the country back to CA but I plan to do that in the gumball3000 type run my friend is doing

Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while. I came across a 02 C2 that I like in the Orchard Park, NY area. I was wondering if any rennlister could do me a huge favor and check out the car. I also plan to do a PPI before I purchase and was wondering if anyone with personal experience had any recommendations where/who to go to? The closest dealership is Auto Place Porsche in Williamsville, NY. Also does anyone recommend any carriers they used before to transport their cars? I'm in SoCal so, it would probably be more economical to ship it.

As far as shipping, I've heard good things about Horseless carriage (sp?) out of NJ and also Almond. Some people have had luck with DAS but I've also heard horror stories with them.

alright I will go ahead and check that out. DAS I'm trying to stay away from just because they charge more to pick up the car and to drop it off at your house... I thought this stuff was standard? I've gotten quotes for about 1100 so far which is reasonable. I'd rather drive it across the country back to CA but I plan to do that in the gumball3000 type run my friend is doing
