I got H8 bulbs from Hoen (as page 270 in the manual says they should be), but the bulb itself that I took out says its an H11. It looks like the only issue is one of the tabs is too wide? Can I modify it? Am I crazy?:crazy: I have it apart now, so any ASAP help would be great.

And the W5W that is supposed to be the "driving bulb" in the foglight according to the manual is an H6W (printed right on the bulb)! Am I reading this wrong, or is this a typo, or is it some 07 change that nobody's found yet? I have a hard time believing I'm the first. About to try the same bulbs on my Dad's C2S.

I pretty sure it's been determined the manual is wrong - do a search, and I'm sure that's what the consensus is... you need to replace the ones in there with the same numbers... or their equivalent... Don't try to modify the wrong ones... brad

Thanks Beez - I obviously didn't use the proper search terms. The H8 and W5W work great in a 997 (if anyone cares). Got my sidemarkers changed though. Wonder if Hoen will exchange the bulbs? I'll find out tomorrow.

The manual is wrong. It's H11. ( Been posted many times--but don't blame yourself for not having done a search on the assumption that the owners manual is wrong.)

Hoen told me that they have thousands of the bulbs lost in inventory somewhere in the UK. No offer to go find them though.
