I have ordered my Milltek Exhaust system (arriving end of Feb) and will get my local workshop to fit them using the excellent instructional information from this site.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I have ordered my Milltek Exhaust system (arriving end of Feb) and will get my local workshop to fit them using the excellent instructional information from this site. However I had one thought.......... Do we need to replace the gaskets for the Exhaust outlet/Headers.........? Anyone know the part numbers? If so, Will I have to go to a different to my local Porsche Dealer Spares Counter and purchase them (under an assumed name, and heavily disguised - Moustache False Beard etc...) Pay in real folding money so I cannot be traced.......... My Cayman is still under warranty and if needs must, and there is a problem, I will switch out to standard Exhaust system before I take the Cayman in for rectification... Or alternatively is there a far simpler solution? Cheers Karel:burnout:

POST 2Original post

I always change the gasket when I replaced the original headers with a modded one!!

POST 3Original post

You can re-use them but they are cheap so pick up a new pair...

POST 4Original post

You can them from one of this sites sponsors if you wish. It appears you still have time. I ordered the headers and catback. Call Miltek and find out if they will include it. The catback normally comes with gaskets.

POST 5Original post

The Milltek catback comes with replacement gaskets. No worries.

POST 6Original post

Hi guys, I'm purchasing miltek full system, plus K&N drop in. I was just curious if any one had this combination? Perhaps we can start a new thread comparing K&N drop in vs. the EVO intake.

POST 7Original post

IMO these things are impossible to compare (intake vs just K&N) unless someone is willing to do at least 4 dyno runs on the same day, swapping these parts while the car is on the dyno. Even then, the results will probably show too small of a difference statistically.

POST 8Original post

Always. I would buy OEM also to avoid any incompatibilty of O2 sensor.

POST 9Original post

Kor- I totally agree, which is why i went with drop in - instead of drilling 2 holes for the evo intake. the drop-in have more surface area than the evo intake anyhow.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
