Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got what looks to be a small leak on the N/S of the centre rad. If I park up at night it leaves a small pool of water under that corner of the rad. Tastes of anti-freeze so I guess it's coolant. I'll probably whip off the bumper in the next day or two to get a better look at it but does anybody have part numbers for the 3 rads and a ball park price for parts. Cheers

POST 3Original post

if its the turbo as i suspect its quite common for the central rad to leak on these . part number for central rad is 996 106 037 73 and generally cost £250 upwards depending on where you get it from l/h radiator is 996 106 131 72 and when i fitted one the other week it cost me £250 for the rad r/h radiator is 996 106 132 70 ans same as above, you then have to think about air con rads aswell which are around £200 each for 996tt model so all in all quite a dear do with the labour....

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers Porscheuro Yep, it's a turbo, didn't realise there was non turbo X50's. 2003 MY, manual. I'll try and have a closer look at it today to see whats what. Might give me a chance to look at the drop links, control arms, etc as I have a bit of a creak from the front too. Ta

POST 5Original post

which area of yorkshire you in if you don't mind me asking

POST 6Original post

The latest part number for the centre rad is 996 106 037 75, but as John says, you would be daft to pay the Porsche list price of £349.67 when there are perfectly good equivalents available. Side rads are: L = 996.106.131.74 R = 996.106.132.72 and list at £364.32.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm in Leeds. Currently removing the front bumper for a closer look.

POST 8Original post

enjoy.... would have said you could have used ramp to look round it if you wished but your up the m1

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Strange... No sign of any leaks, no staining, no damage, no nothing except for some leaves and crud which I cleaned out. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on it and take another look when I have more time. Sprayed some WD40 on the bushes to try and track down the creaking too so that's another thing to keep track on.
