Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Was at a garage in Carlisle who were trying to sell it as a favour when i went to look at it, and it had just been washed and cleaned inside, which MAY be why the carpet was damp (someone getting in and out alot during cleaning?), but it was enough to put me off.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

In which case accept my apologies. I'm Mike!
Got extremely carried away and pressed the post button.
The car seems like a good one to me, but it has no reg no so a little difficult to get its history. Anything particularly to look out for on the turbos?
:salut:
Welcome aboard Mike and getting carried away when buying a Porsche is a common trait! That is a great looking car and if you going to be driving that in the Peak District I'm :envy:
The turbo ones are not as fast as the normal Carrera 2 pre-facelift
IF you buy it and don't like it I'd consider a swap with mine
I've had my speed yellow for over a year and still LOVE the colour.
I don't know what there is to look for on a turbo when thinking of buying but couldn't resist adding to this thread when I saw another YELLOW.
Mike, could very well be the first one i drove when i started looking, was put off by the drivers side carpet being damp, had aftermarket sat nav fitted (no biggie) WAS really quiet when i put my foot down (quieter than others i drove later) and it needed the rear 'deck', between the spoiler and the bottom of the window repainted as it had turned a different shade of yellow.
Apparently the owner at the time was a lumberjack from Penrith area who hardly ever drove it. Was at a garage in Carlisle who were trying to sell it as a favour when i went to look at it, and it had just been washed and cleaned inside, which MAY be why the carpet was damp (someone getting in and out alot during cleaning?), but it was enough to put me off.
As this was the first TT i'd driven i was quite disappointed at how fast it was, coming from a 360bhp impreza, it didn't feel any faster. Then went for a look at a couple of other TT's and they felt much more like it power-wise. Plus there was no warranty on it and at the time, it was too expensive for a 2001 TT
Thanks, could well be the same one. Has some carbon trim on handbrake and gear lever. Plus aftermarket stero and a rather hideous satnav screen.
I think I'll keep looking. The price is good but it does make me wonder why it's so. Plus the dealer is offering seriously low trade in on my C4. (les than we buyanycar.com etc.)
Cheers all,
Mike
