Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hey folks, just a quick word to let you know that Garrett@GIAC sent out new files for the Tiptronic Cayman S. Previously we were only able to flash the 6speeders but now the Tip guys have a file as well:banana:

POST 2Original post

For a moment I expected to click on this thread and find that someone had installed LED lights into their exhaust tips... Nevermind....

POST 3Original post

Heh.. just saw this If it gave me 2hp I'd do it but. FYI guys, sorry this really is for the 06 Tips only. Nothing as yet for 07 Tips (just 6speeds). But there will be soon

POST 4Original post

Alex - can you educate me with this upgrade; the process, time, etc.

POST 5Original post

Alex - based on your recent threads, the ECU upgrade will increase the redline to 7500 rpm, is it the same for the Tiptronic?; and what exactly is the e-gas remapping, i do not have the sport mode. Thanks.

POST 6Original post

Yes I would like to hear more information on this particular flash for tips.

POST 9Original post

Hey lowfat, it's the same thing that we do to the 6speed cars in terms of the options. The e-gas is just what we call the electronic throttle control (you have no throttle cable) and so that can be repgrommed for better throttle response- sort of like the sport chrono if you will.. You do not need to have the sport mode to take advantage of it...

POST 10Original post

Hi Stormtrooper... what are of CA are you in? We can always give you a ride in our car etc... and show you what it's like. For the others, we'd need to find you a local dealer or you can send in your ECUs

POST 11Original post

Hi sharkster, I am in LA. Seems like you are in bay area. It would be nice to ride and see the difference, but not sure if you can do that. Thanks.
