Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I have a Black CS with black interior, should I paint the rear center console black that matches the exterior color or Silver color? Which look better? Thanks!

POST 3Original post

I vote neither, by that I mean have BumperPlugs do it. You'll never be able to create the kind of finish they can create if you do it yourself. I've seen some do-it-yourself console painting jobs and honestly all of them sucked as compared to the quality and durability of a unit from BumperPlugs. Don't take my word for it alone though, ask around to other members who have purchased from them.

POST 4Original post

another vote for black !! but yeah, don't do it your self...

POST 5Original post

i'm using slight red accenting in the car based on the red brakes, just a few touches of red here and there. will be doing rear console and red harnesses once gt3 seats are in, with carbon fiber trim. i say if you don't do black, pick an accent color and subtly place it where appropriate. and the others have said, unless you have extensive spray experience, leave it to a pro.

POST 6Original post

Yea, I meant paint by the professional paint shop...lol

POST 7Original post

I vote to make it a Porsche carbon-fiber center console. If you can afford that mod, it would look awesome in your black-on-black ride. :burnout:

POST 8Original post

Black on black you can't see a thing. Don't do it.

POST 9Original post

Or a silver carbon fiber one.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GEMBALLA-997-TURBO-SILVER-CARBON-FIBER-CENTER-CONSOLE_W0QQitemZ170086282780QQcategoryZ46093QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

POST 10Original post

I agree...Your interior is already black enough, don't do black. Silver or carbor fiber sounds good.

POST 11Original post

2thmnky, Only $1,800! I'm IN!!! lol. I say go for silver, a little contrast will do some good in the black interior. - Suneet

POST 12Original post

I also vote silver or carbon fiber...I love the carbon look, but silver is a great contrasting color to black. Black on black would waste your money IMO.

POST 13Original post

Suneet A carbon fiber center console is $1625 from the factory, so I don't think $1800 is ridiculous considering it’s so unique.

POST 14Original post

That's insane too. I understand the uniqueness and expensive of CF... but man I'd rather spend that money for something that offers more HP. - Suneet

POST 15Original post

If you still plan to do it I would agree with K-Man S on having Bumperplugs do the job...I ordered a new CS logo from them and it looks incredible! Check it out...Atlas Grey (Metallic)...
