Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The oil pressure indicator on the right of the instrument pod is erratic, sometimes the needle reads normally, other times it dies and then the LED panel says "Failure Indicator" with the oil can symbol showing.(Can happens a few times in a journey). The garage replaced the oil sender sensor (?) which worked initially. Another indie garage says it could mean replacing the whole instrument pod, around £600!! The oil level is fine, and the car is driving well. Any ideas please?

POST 2Original post

a pretty common fault. Not sure of the fix, I thought it was a loose connection from the sender but if you've had that done.....

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

"Faulty Indicator" flashes up! Thanks for the advice. I had it replaced in April. I will hassle them again in due course to see what can be done and let you know the outcome. Many thanks.
