Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I seem to recall that the Xenons have an auto leveling feature that gets checked everytime you turn the lights on.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hopped in to the car early Saturday morning and while backing out of the garage with the lights on, I the warning indicator for headlight out of alignment came on. Since then, I have been getting the warning about every other start. Has anyone else dealt with this issue? I am taking it into the dealer tomorrow morning. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Do you have the Xenons? I seem to recall that the Xenons have an auto leveling feature that gets checked everytime you turn the lights on. This is to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. The internal beam housing should dip then come back up when the lights are turned on. Have someone turn the lights on while you watch the housing to see if both of them does this.

POST 3Original post

The auto leveling actually has a little plastic arm that connects to your suspension, mine was busted one time in towing the car so they had to put a new one on, but yes have your dealer look at it.

POST 4Original post

Thanks for the replies. Affirmative on the xenons. I'll check it out this evening to see if the auto leveling is non-functional.

POST 5Original post

Diagnosis/Resolution: Leveling motor on passenger side xenon "tango uniform". Perplexing since the car is a May08 birth. No part in Atlanta...awaiting shipment from Cali or Germany. Oh well....I'll have to make due with the loaner Boxter for a little while longer.
