Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi Guys Can you help me out, I have a 2005 Cayman S, and the interior heater fan cycles up and down ie. not running at a steady rate as it should, also there is a sound like air bubbling in the heating system? Any clue as to what is going on.... Many Thanks William

POST 2Original post

William are you in the UK (the US cars are 2006 MY) and is it still under warranty? (don't know since you have not filled in your personal info or registered your Cayman here yet and really should do so). We could guess a few things that might cause this this but it would be better to take it to a dealer and get it looked at while under warranty if it still is.

POST 3Original post

Hi Thanks for the fast reply! We only have a two year warranty here in the UK, and the car was delivered on the 23/11/05 its one of the first in the UK! And BTW I have managed to clock up 63,000 miles a lot of fun. Back to the point, want to see if anybody knows whats going on before taking it to Porsche, so that I can fix it myself or get an idea of the cost I am sure you all understand! Thanks William Here in the UK

POST 4Original post

Have you checked your coolant level? If the coolant is low, it could cause both symptoms (the heater gets its heat from the engine coolant).

POST 5Original post

Great Thanks That was it, added some Posh coolant, ... Its fixed. Best Regards William
