Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

" It is indeed an offence to use a mobile phone whilst a vehicle is stationary in a lay-by or at the side of the road with the engine running, and the important point to note here is 'with the engine running'.

I have tried and failed using porsche to get around the law, i ran a yellow light once and got pulled, explained to him about the unwritten rule called "porsche priority" but he was not happy with that outburst and explained to me how I am a rebel to the road like other porsche drivers, he put me in the back of the patrol car and then after giving me a ticket told me my car was never going to be a ferrari so get over it, I laughed and said are we done, he said were done when I say, then he said right we are "now" done, i tried to open the car door and it was locked and he said "you cant open from inside"

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Both 996 turbos viewed have handsets...are they actually legal - I wouldnt have thought so!!
But ive been told that cos they are part of the standard spec they are completley legal - surely not!!!
Love em though - proper miami vice stylee
well i have the handset in mine and I bet if I use it while driivng I would be pulled, same as a mobile.
TV is legal if standing still with handbrake on, I guess the same can be said for that.
Thats my view.
Then my mouth got the better of me again and I said "i know i have seen the bill" this got me another warning as he claimed it was insulting to him.
anyhow it was funny his little blue light must have been zipping for about 40 mins...

Even if the you are speaking on a 'hands free' mobile device, if a police officer deems that your driving is falling below the expected standard, then you may find yourself charged with careless or dangerous driving, which can lead to a fine, between 3-11 points depending on the severity of the offence, the circumstances surrounding it and the decision of a judge, and worst case scenario - disqualification and even a spell in prison.

Hello 911UK,
Is it legal to drive at over 100mph?
My car has a top speed in excess of 100mph.
But I've been told that because this is part of the standard spec on all modern Porsches this is completely legal - surely not!!!
No - I saw a white Astramax diesel van pulled for speeding the other day. They're all good for at least 155mph, so standard spec obviously does not render exceeding the speed limit legal.
While on the subject of the Astramax van, did a copy of 'The Sun' jammed between the dash and the windscreen come as standard or was it an option?
Yep, illegal from what I can gather and rather pointless IMO.
My 997 has one but the number of times i would want to take a private phone call when stationary would be so few I can't see me ever using it - to me it looks a bit rubbish in such a modern car...........I'd consider deleting it but suspect it might leave some holes
but just because its illegal does not mean you wont use it.
deleting it? crazy...
using the handset is illegal when driving but who cares? anyone... if you are easy distracted and cant drive safely then dont use it.
This law was only passed because of women I rekon, because everytime i see someone driving on the mobile its a women, just last night booom, right over a zeby crossing with people waiting and it was a women driver.
dont get me started on women drivers, i will just be quite,
I think you're mistaken. Like many such laws, it ws created by our caring nanny state to protect us all from the incompetent minority :x
We are all inconvenienced by those who cannot think and do anything else at the same time, and vice-versa.
Where the mobile ban might have scored is against the legions of white-van men and other delivery drivers. Unfortunately as we all see every day, such drivers are exempt from the law anyway - or that's evidently what they think.
