This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I assume you are saying that one of the horizontal louvers is no longer moving as you adjust the lever up and down.

Suggestion

If that is the case, there is a very fine wire that connects the horizonal louvers together that may have come loose (something that can happen when you are cleaning the vents.....)

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Just noticed that the clip in one of my air vents above the pcm is broke and as a result the airvent doesnt direct flow up or down. How do I remove the vent to reinstal the clip?

POST 2Original post

I assume you are saying that one of the horizontal louvers is no longer moving as you adjust the lever up and down. If that is the case, there is a very fine wire that connects the horizonal louvers together that may have come loose (something that can happen when you are cleaning the vents.....) Take a very close look with a flashlight and see if that is the case. If so, you may be able to fish the wire back into the small retaining clip built into the back of the louver. Straigten out a paper clip, then create a very small hook in one end. Fish it in the vent and catch the wire, align the horizontal louvers, then pull it into the retaining clip. Be careful to not pull the wire out from the other clips while you are fishing it back into place. Be patient; it took me about a half hour to fix mine after knocking it off..... Regards

POST 3Original post

Almost there, it is a black piece of plastic that attaches to the back of the adjuster and clips on the horizontal fins to adjust up and down. I need to remove the actual vent as the clip has allen to the back of the vent and it is quite tight. Somebody enlighten me how to remove it? Cant see any way to remove the vent itself?
