Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone done one of these installs before?
I'm about to plunge into my first DIY install on the p-car for the Motorola HF850 Bluetooth car kit. I just recieved the Becker radio phone mute cable and removal keys...looks pretty straight forward. Question is/are:
1-what do I connect the ignition sense wire (green) from the kit to? It's suppose to be hooked-up to an ignition switched location in the fuse box.
2-where do I hook up the primary lead (red) that powers the Moto control box to in the fusebox that is fused 4 to 10 amps? BTW, the wire has a built -in fuse/fuse holder already.
3-the Becker connector has a female RCA connector for the audio in, but the Moto HF850, has a two wire quick connect harness for the supplied speaker. I assume I can cut the moto connector and solder in a male RCA. But is there a polarity issue with the speaker wire connector? One is striped; is that the +?
4-Where do you mount the microphone? I have Bose system, so the audiopilot mic probably occupies the space left of the guage cluster already.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Just finished the install. It's a piece of cake! I got all the power (switched and unswitched), the ground, and radio mute from the phone connector that was hiding behind the cubby bin (all US & Can cars have it apparently). The Becker cable plugs right into the back of the radio and connects to the audio out of the phone kit via a phono jack. I just snipped the wire from the supplied speaker, soldered a male phono plug (Radio shack) and it all works like a charm! Radio mutes when a call is made or recieved and can be heard through the right side speaker and the radio displays "phone". I'm not sure where I want the mic, but for now it's attached with double sided tape to the steering column... I'll see how it goes when I'm using it. I'll post pics later if anybody requests it.
Level of difficulty out of 10: 2-3
Time: 30-60mins (most of it on tidying up the miles of wires that come with the kit)
I tucked the wire into the a-pillar and ran the mic up over so that it's pointing down at me almost directly over my head. took 10 mins to do. Sound quality is pretty good, but I usually switch my PSE to quiet mode when I'm on the phone and close the driver's side window since it is directly below the mic. I'll try to take a picture and post it tomorrow.
