Hello! We finally got to the point where the Corvette didn't make any sense when the three of us wanted to go somewhere, so we began looking for a used 911. With some guidance from a friend in TX, we began the search for the perfect car. But in the metro DC area, the Porsche dealers just don't have the greatest selection of preowned Porsches. So we ended up at Intersport Auto in McLean, VA--a few guys that specialize in Porsches. They had more preowned 911s than all of the local dealers combined. We ended up with a 2009 base C2 with the sport chrono package and PDK. The wife is thrilled beyond belief--she would never drive the Vette--and while I miss the Vette, I am loving this car. It's so solid, so tight, and somehow, it's just as fast and way more nimble. The guys at Intersport have been great. They really seem to follow the Golden Rule--I think we made a deal that worked for both of us, and it was EASY. Anyway, we're loving the car and can't wait to get into some DE events!

If you are n northern Virginia, you should stop by Great Falls Cars and Coffee at Katie's some Saturday morning. Lots of sports cars show up along with exotics and classics. 7-9 am in Great Falls Village on Georgetown Pike, rt 193. Katie's makes good cappuccinos too. The show will continue throughout the fall, but the most turnout is probably now, through the next few weeks. There are often a nice array of modern and classic Porsches too.
