They have come a long way from when these were cars you could actually work on, much less even change a tire!…and not in a good way!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've owned 2 996's and 2 997's, my latest a 2009TT. I recently moved that car to another home, one without all the tools and accessories I have at at my other place. I decided to remove the wheels to clean them up for summer storage, being OCD and all. So I bought a cheapo jack, and decided to clean them up yesterday. For God's sake, for $154K MSRP you think they could include a lug wrench? I understand I have entered the world of no spare tire and fix a flat, but come on guys…a lug wrench? How much money did they save by not including that in the tool kit? That's just ridiculous.

If they don't give you a spare or jack, why would you need a lug wrench? That is why you get a can of flat fix and cheap tire inflator.................
