Hello, Does anyone know if a 2way heated seat from a new cayman is plug and play with my 2 way original. Both are two way and heated, just the replacement is from a new cayman with sport seats (not buckets). Thanks

Your not getting any response so I will give you a less than specific response First, I posted your question in Google. I get a few hits that may pan out for you but it is clearly not a common topic. I recently put Recaro Pole Position seats in my 07 Cayman S . Article is linked below. Considerations are: Do the mounting holes in the seat tracks match the captive nuts in the floor? Will the seat physically fit. My Recaros were quite tight on the center tunnel side, so much so that I had to trim the carpet a bit. Will the electrical connections match. I am often astounded and frustrated at the abundance of different electrical connectors used on my car. Hate to think about what has changed over 10 years later. Will the safety systems, specifically air bags, passenger detection, seat belts, etc work literally and will you be into some programming issues that are difficult. I assume you have some sort of access to the 718 seats? Can you physically inspect them, as some of the above questions may become deal breakers even before you get into the software stuff. Thanks. I already bought the seats. The bolt pattern is the same and the yellow plug seems the same. I’ll look at the pins when I receive the seats. Hopefully they are plug n play. 🤣

I look forward to getting them this weeks. They are new GT4 sport seats with the hard back and shoulder flare in leather with Alcantara . I’m also dropping the engine, installing coil over and more. Just did the headliner in Alcantara . Hope to be running by summer 😳

The 981 drivers seat is plug n play with a 987. However, the 981 passenger seat has a different occupancy sensor that integrates into the Yellow plug . The 987 body harness has two plugs- yellow standard and a separate harness for for the sensor. So now I’m stuck……… any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
