sent me the wrong product,
Motul
300 V Competition 5W-40 vs Power 5W-40. Has anyone had knowledge of the difference between these products. As long as the Competition product does not expire after 600 miles like Gibbs XP9 does, I will use it on my
next
oil change. I am finding the actual Competition product is noticeably heavier in weight than the Power product both being 5W-40. Any comments? Comes in a unique tin 2 liter can with a handy spout and the same intended use.

Motul
has changed the way they market this product. The Power product is no long available in higher viscosity fill. Only to 5W-30 for Power. 5W-40 only comes in the Competition line now. As I mentioned in the header, the actual weight of the oil is significantly higher with the Competition line compared to the Power line, as I have a number of older 5W-40 Power Liter tin cans waiting for the
next
oil change but not enough for10 qts fill. So, I answered my own question.
Hi Apex1,
Is this the version you'd recommend for street use (
MOTUL 110817 300V 5W-40 COMPETITION
)? 2 Liter can for around $38.

picinkoff-Yep that is the one I have been using for the past couple of oil changes. I called
Motul
and they told me that the additive package would be great for 3500 or 4000 mile oil change intervals. I really like my engines sound without any chain noise or clatter. I also am using the LN spin on short filter, which helps keep the oil pressure up in the heat of the summer at the track.
