Once I got the door open and reconnected further down everything was fine.

I took it all apart, reconnected the rod tested a few times, put back together, but now the door wont open from the inside or outside!.

Thanks David, I've had a look in the daylight, exactly the same problem as me. I took it all apart, reconnected the rod tested a few times, put back together, but now the door wont open from the inside or outside!. Hopefully I can get in via the abag hole whilst the door is shut? :dont know:

For the benefit of the thread here is an update: It appears I connected the rod too far down the threaded plastic and it was stopping the mechanism from working. Once I got the door open and reconnected further down everything was fine. I managed to get the door open intially when niether the inside or outside handles would function by removing the door card from the inside, it was very tight!, the wider 'wings' of the gt3 seats and roll cage did'nt help, especially as neither can be removed with only one opening door. I managed to break only one retaining clip on the door card. Once the seat was unbolted i rested it across the center of the carand removed card, hand in the door, remove rod and pull mechanism. and refit. Problem solved! phew!
