Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey there, Just wanted to use my first post to say hello and tell you guys that I just purchased my first Porsche. Its a 2002 996TT with 6,000 miles on it. I had the aftermaket wheels painted black. I am going to have the windows tinted in the coming weeks. The pics aren't that great because it is raining here. Thanks, Kevin

POST 2Original post

Very nice looking 996TT! Welcome aboard. The painted wheels look great but to be honest, the silver painted grills really don't look good with all that black-out look that you have going on. I assume they were like that when you bought it? Any interior pics?

POST 3Original post

Nice ride. Welcome to the zoo. Er, uh, family, I mean. Needs plugs.

POST 6Original post

Sweet ride! (I agree with Dell on the grills though). Careful of the slippery slope (the mod bug)!

POST 7Original post

Gorgegous ride...... but you need to paint the mesh up front to BLACK!

POST 8Original post

Looks great. Enjoy and welcome to our Circus...I mean Zoo...I mean asylum...

POST 9Original post

Welcome, sweet looking ride. Your first PCar and it's a 996TT no less. Enjoy her in good health.

POST 10Original post

YES...another black pcar! Looks great, want to see her in the dry. Love the wheels. I am a new member, one thing you will learn in here real fast; these fellow pcar owners will shoot you straight and be honest with you. Trust what they have to tell you, there is a lot of knowledge in here. Have fun with her.

POST 11Original post

Looks familiar...could it be from Autobahn? Oh yeah...welcome aboard! Don't forget the Turbo forum!

POST 12Original post

lucky bastard! goodluck with that super car!!! Looks great!!

POST 13Original post

nice FIRST P car...sheeesh...forget crawling.. lets just run a marathon. Go for the Turbo! WOOT!

POST 14Original post

Very nice! I like the grills myself, breaks up the car a little and adds more interest!

POST 15Original post

Sweet looking ride... be careful with the right foot...

POST 17Original post

black painted wheels look awesome on the black car! welcome and congrats!

POST 18Original post

Really, really, really sexxy car. I seem to have TURBO envy!! Welcome, Gant

POST 19Original post

Fantastic looking ride. The rain helps evidence the nice wax job. I know you just bought it, but keep us posted on your first modification, we suspect it won't be long. Tinting doesn't count, so put your "thinking cap" on and get out your checkbook. On this board, we've all been infected with the "Mod Bug" virus and we intend to infect you too. Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated. Congratulations, again. Please be careful in the new car.

POST 20Original post

starting with the turbo - cool- where does one go from here?

POST 22Original post

Congratulations on that black beauty! and Welcome to the board!

POST 23Original post

Kevin - First... Welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm! Second... Congrats on getting a very nice looking P-car. I am not a big fan of painted wheels, but your wheels look good on the car! I agree with the others that the intake grills would look better painted black. Don't listen to Brett about the silver grills, he is only 19 years old (+/-) so he has not developed any "good taste" yet!
