Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Had the RMS, IMS seal and bolts replaced but it still leaks.
Leading evidence: 'Replace but it still leaks' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'seal around the bracket' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace but it still leaks' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
The encapsualtion provided on the IMS bracket bolts is often insufficiently thick to seal the threads so add some silicon and see how it goes - if it still leaks probably the seal around the bracket.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My engine oil weeps, but only when the engine oil level is 'full'.
Had the RMS, IMS seal and bolts replaced but it still leaks. The RMS was chnged twice, just to make sure that it wasn't the cause.
Any ideas?
:dont know:
Is it still coming from the RMS area, or somewhere else? I can't see why the oil level would make any difference to an RMS leak. The oil level in the sump is w-a-y below that.

... Ooh, now I'm intrigued.
My money is on either:
1) Richard H has been sabotaging rhenders car (you haven't been "wife swapping" again have you?)
or
2) That's the patented "Mobil-Porsche" oil leak valve they fit to all their cars. Operated on an automatic intra-service timer or optional remote from OPC within 30 mile radio transmission radius, to be triggered when monthly billings are down.
LOL! Nothing that complicated. That's just a picture of a typical RMS/IMS oil leak, and that bolt is where it usually drips from. It's just a pipe clamp that is at the lowest point.

Hi
are you sure the leaks not from the bolts on the intermediate shaft housing. the bolt holes are not blind. so they go right through into the sump/oil resevoiir, if they leak then it comes out of the same place and can be confused with the RMS. Porsche do a special encapsulated bolt to cure this leak.
Just a thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!
