Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I believe that the pollen filter was changed as part of my recent OPC 48k service.

all the 996's I have ever had or come across do the same thing, but check the cabin filter(below windshield on passenger side is not soggy as it can make the problem worse.

turning the air con on and off can also make it worse as moisture builds up on the evaporator, either leave it on or turn it off and crack a window a 1/4 inch, and check the drains from this are not blocked(unlikely) Apart from that small cabin, great big engine under the rear means condesation can lurk here as well.so no wonder they steam up.

There have been various posts about similar probelms and one suggestion was to check none of the drainage holes are blocked

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've noticed that the humidity increases drammatically in my C4S coupe when it rains, so I'm forced to switch the aircon on. I've noticed that the bonnet seat that covers the top of the headligts and bonnet catch is torn so I wonder if this has anything to do with it?
Any members got any other ideas :?:
cheers Ray

Make sure your pollen filter is not blocked as in extreme cases there is such poor airflow that it can affect humidity significantly during damp weather.
I believe that the pollen filter was changed as part of my recent OPC 48k service. thx for the suggestion. I suspect that water is getting into the filter housing somehow though.........
The weather was pretty extreme around our way last night and our car suffered a little too. I just put it down to the water that got into the car when I put the kids in the back (I had to towel off the seats and the door cards).
The biggest giveaway to water leaking into the car is that you get excessive condensation when it isn't raining as the water is still in the carpets and the soundproofing.
