Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have recently aquired a Mamas and Papa's Protec front facing child seat for my 8 month old daughter via this site (thanks Fuchs). I chose this model because it fits nicely in the back seats when mom and I are in the front. My question is can I pop it in the front seat for the school run without disabling the airbag? When fitted in the front it seems to me that my daughter is no closer to the airbag than a large adult thus I would imagine its ok. However Ive noticed that others here have disabled the airbag as a precaution. I dont really want to do this but also dont want to risk my daughter's safety. Advice please.. Thanks

POST 2Original post

I have a 5 & 7 yr and put them in the back. Occassional in the front with the seat fully back. However, i think its a bit risky with a baby though. :?:

POST 3Original post

Check to see if you've got the extra seat belt fitting under the front of the seat. When you plug into it the airbag is automatically disabled It's designed for specific seats but ultimately you can put a blank belt hook into it if the seat you've got hasn't got it :thumb: See it here.... http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalog/porsche_baby_child_seats.html
