Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It is the Evolution fabric so it can be used outside but I have only used it inside.

After looking underneath the Cayman and admiring it, if I could keep it clean I'd almost go for a mirror to park over.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I want to keep my car covered while in the garage to eliminate dust as I live in a new housing project with on going construction. Porsche wants $460 for their indoor cover. It does have mirror pockets and a soft lining on the inside, but I am looking for something simple, lightweight andeasy to remove and replace.
Any thoughts are welcomed!

. A bit less expensive for the same items as others. Both Griotts and Autosport should be site sponsors! Maybe K-Man-S will prepare a form e-mail we can send to them and others when we are about to do business with them that asks them to advertise here?
SF,
Do you remember what website had the garage flooring mats. I think they were something like 9' x 12', and came in several colors. I lost the bookmark somehow.
Thanks Russ
Check out Suncoast Porsche.Factory covers for the 997/987 are around the $259 / $279 range. They list the Boxster cover as the one for the Cayman......but I would think it would be different......who knows. Anyway, $460 is nuts for any cover........but I would probably pay the above to have the factory cover......had one for a couple of older models and they are top notch.

No I thought that I would have too much dust getting under them and too much slush getting on top that went with the mat. I can easily drag it out and clean it off each spring. 2 71/2' by 17' worked for me. I will add another to my third bay which is my shop (hideing place). After looking underneath the Cayman and admiring it, if I could keep it clean I'd almost go for a mirror to park over. But alas not off of a gravel road.
Russ,
I went to my local auto parts store and got a generic cover for about $110. It is the Evolution fabric so it can be used outside but I have only used it inside. I have used it on a WRX, M3, Z4, Corvette and will use it on the Cayman as well.. Its not the prettiest thing in the world since it wasn't custom fit for any of the cars but keeps the car clean and dust free. If space is a problem you will probably want a thinner material.
SF,
I called Griots and I was going to have them fly me a sample of the tiles. I didn't the 1-piece stuff, I will look again.
BT,
Thanks for the info on the cover. I do need to try and save some money on whatever I can after this garage beautification process.
Aloha Russ
Be careful with covers outside, it will slowly rub (in the wind) the clearcoat off the top of your car! I used one one my 911SC and decided that no cover ( with a good wax job) was better.

Here are some links I collected on the flooring products - I still have not made up my mind which way to go - I still want to price ceramic tiles - I always wanted black and white checkered pattern, I guess one way would be industrial 2x2 pvc tiles:

I will check them all out! I am still in the process of deciding exactly what I want to do. My painting is about half way and then I will put down something on top of that to fit the car space. Santa Fe found some nice stuff at Griots, 7-1/2' x 17' roll out material in a variety of colors.
Kjames[/quote], the cover I want would be for indoors only just a simple dust inhibitor. Thanks!
Aloha, Russ
