Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Reading Stu post and double-checked all the wheel bolts was in place and did a quick check to make sure they wasn't loose (hand checked).
Leading evidence: 'Check )' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'bill will come in at around the £500 mark' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check )' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

This might give you a clue, but I suspect your bill will come in at around the £500 mark from a good Indy.

Suggestion
Suggest you check all the nuts with a torque wrench rather than your fingers.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've been noticing knocking symptoms from the front wheels (both sides it appears). It is especially noticeable when reverse parking or when doing series of manoeuvres (such as getting in/out of parking spaces). It much more noticeable during slow speeds.
- I haven't noticed it when going over humps and noise does persist when when the wheel inst in full-lock...
Reading Stu post and double-checked all the wheel bolts was in place and did a quick check to make sure they wasn't loose (hand checked).
Im guessing this may point to the arms/bearings but with my limited technical knowledge, im not too sure how to narrow it further down or what the relevant symptoms for each component wear would be...
Will get it to a specialist to resolve, but would like to have an idea before getting it booked in...
Any pointers? :?:

Cheers Sundeep - Checked this out and all looked okay.
I have managed to narrow down how to reproduce the issue:
- The issue occurs even when the wheels are not in a turned position. I.e I put the card in park and then in drive - Noticed the clunking/knocking from both front wheels.
- Put it in reverse, also noticed the same clucking/knocking
- Going round a small roundabout, much more noticeable (louder from the passenger side, front)...
Cleared the crap from the boot just to make sure here, but still persists...

I had a similar clunking after this weekends trackday. Checked the wheelnuts and a couple were loose. Suggest you check all the nuts with a torque wrench rather than your fingers.
Assuming it's not simply loose wheel bolts, it sounds like it might be that the front diff has developed some play. Can be expensive to cure from what I've heard. Or it may just be that the front driveshaft CV joints are worn.
Best of luck getting it sorted.
Does the noise occur if you move whilst applying light pressure to the brakes? Could it be loose pads within calipers? Have you taken the wheels off and had a good 'play' with all components around the wheel?, ie grab the disc and shake... Drop links often wear and cause a clunking noise after awhile, that noise might only occur whilst going over bumps though. What about anti-roll bar bushes, see if these are loose, maybe the bar is moving within the bolts if the bushes are badly worn?
My main bit of advice is get the car on jack stands, get the wheels off and have a good hands on inspection of parts. Good luck... :thumb:
Hi,
Have a look at this thread, especially the graphic from Richard on page 2.
This might give you a clue, but I suspect your bill will come in at around the £500 mark from a good Indy.
