Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It was checked and the usual suspect was changed, MAF sensor.

My mates a mechanic and has a universal fault finder that he used to use on my old Audi S4.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Both the warning lights came on tonight.
The car had been still for 2 weeks due to work. I got to take it out for a run to Tunbridge Wells and 3 minutes into my journey the lights came up whilst pulling slowly away from a set of traffic lights. This happened when i first bought the car, about 8 months a go. It was checked and the usual suspect was changed, MAF sensor. It's been fine up until now so was wondering what else could be the problem?
I know I should just take it somewhere to get it plugged in to diagnose the fault, but time is tight at the mo so wondered if any one had any ideas?
Cheers

I had this on my C4 ages ago and MAF was changed, but didn't cure it - turned out to be a faulty brake pedal switch. It cost the princely sum of €6.00 IIRC.
Thanks for the suggestion Wattie.
I'm tight on time so it may have to wait. My mates a mechanic and has a universal fault finder that he used to use on my old Audi S4. I might give that a go. If it can't find the fault I will have to book it in with RSJ's.

Had a day off today (Wahoooo) and took the car on a trip to Northampton to visit family. The lights didn't come on all the way up there, 130 miles!!! Had some fun driving as I travelled early morning with nothing on the road. Got it breaking traction whilst accelerating hard etc and still no error sign. Drove towards home and dropped my brother off in London before heading off back to KENT. Again no lights. Then I broke really hard whilst messing around a little on a fav road and bam the lights came on!! So I'm thinking perhaps an ABS sensor??
I will probably wait now to get it plugged in when visiting fearns.

P.S. Turbos are such a hoot in the wet. It's probably only the 4th time i have taken out in wet weather and was shocked at the way it can cover ground in wet conditions!!!
