If I were you I would get a diagnostic test done, just to check that there are no faults and the system is working properly.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My airbag warning light's not illuminating when I turn on the ignition. Any advice guys, or is just a trip to the OPC? Thanks muchly, Mike

POST 2Original post

Has it always been like that, or has it just happened? If it has just started playing up, it sounds like the light itself has gone, which could be expensive.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Richard, First time I've noticed it, so I think it's just happened. I can certainly live with it for now, but if anyone has any experience of fixing / replacing a failed warning lamp I'd appreciate any info. Thanks, Mike

POST 4Original post

On a 2004 they are all LEDs, not bulbs, and are not replaceable. If I were you I would get a diagnostic test done, just to check that there are no faults and the system is working properly. I have heard of a couple of occasions where the airbag LED has been painted over, rather than a fault being fixed.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Richard, Thanks very much for your replies and for taking the time. It seems to be working fine after the weekend - it's one of the first lights to go out and it's possible I may have misinterpreted this earlier. Thanks again. Mike
