Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Have you lifted the rear seat and checked the carpet under it, this would suggest same prob as me.

Going to check the drains but from what I have described, they said it sounds like the drivers door membrane.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I know this has probably been covered lots before - apologies if so
I left my car standing outside today during heavy rain (usually garaged).
When I got back in to the car I noticed that the drivers door carpet & door sill carpet was quite wet.
I couldn't see that the water was getting in from the roof.
From what I have found on here, Its suggested that this could either be a perished door membrane or blocked drainage holes?
Does is sound feasible that 1 of these could be why the water is getting in?
Car due to be going in to Paragon for some work on Tuesday so may ask them about this.
Any opinion or advice would be helpful - Thanks in advance :thumb:

I also have a 2000 C4 Cab and found my carpets wet about 2 weeks ago. Drives side rear drain hole was blacked, sticking the rubber flap closed causing water to come in via the back.

Spoken to Paragon as the car is going in tomorrow anyway.
Going to check the drains but from what I have described, they said it sounds like the drivers door membrane.
They say 1.5 hours labour & have quoted £187 to fix (all in).
Does this sound about right for a door membrane :?:
Adam - did the squeeky window sort itself out? If not, get them to check the window regulator. If its not 100% okay, maybe replace that at the same time to save on labour?
Both the regulators on the car were replaced in my ownership - the invoices should show how much labour it was. 1.5hrs sounds reasonable.
just posted this on the other thread but worth showing agin in case you missed it.
It is a simple DIY, you just need the jack out the spare wheel and a pair of pliers and something to poke the drains clear with.
You can just make out the rubber flap and the solid gunge behind it. Good tip...remove the rear speakers and watch the water flowing through the hopper before you put it all back together as the exit tube is probably blocked as well.
