Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Okay, I give up. What is this thing? It's in the front trunk of my 2005 Boxster S (987.1). Car has standard CDR24 head unit, Bose , no CD changer.

POST 2Original post

Emission test pump - pulls a vacuum on the fuel system to test for leaks. Don't score with it - the car will be unhappy if you do. If you ever wondered where the fuel tank is - well - it's right under that.

POST 3Original post

BTW - 2nd question without an intro message. You can fix that by visiting New Member Introductions and telling us all about the Boxster you're rescuing, and a bit about you, and maybe some nice pictures too. Meanwhile - welcome to Planet-9, the Friendly Porsche Forum!

POST 6Original post

If I still had the 986 ? I'd copy the logo on this fine Delorean aftermarket equipment and apply it just as a goof.

POST 7Original post

I had the same question about that box in the front trunk.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
