Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The factory bi xenon headlights have a mandatory auto leveling feature that uses sensors on the front and rear suspension to adjust their beams to prevent blinding on coming drivers. More than likely, one of these sensors has either failed or become disconnected.

POST 3Original post

Here's a dumb shot in the dark from a plain jane 996 owner:-) pull both lights and look for a secondary cable and connection. On my Xenon lights I forgot to plug it back in when replacing a side marker bulb. it took a couple months to notice my light did not cycle thru the auto-level:-( I'd upload a photo but I can't get the phone to share with my PC. technology! sigh
