Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hey all, I apologize for the self-promotion but I've been meaning to share these on here and just keep forgetting. I started a Youtube channel a while back just documenting all of the issues and fixes for my 2010 Cayman wanting to help out the community and just overall keep things for my own records. I'm no mechanic, just a guy who likes to spend money on cars and fix them because I can't afford to actually take them to a real mechanic. However, I do my best to try fixing things according to service bulletins, using proper torque specs, etc. Some of my earlier videos are a little lacking in quality due to a lack of space/lift height/camera equipment but I am slowly getting better and more comfortable doing these. Here's a link to my channel. https://www.youtube.com/@jontansgarage Here is a link to my 987 Cayman playlist that has videos that I have made over the last couple of years. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsei50OvrgGfE9UrsnvxfAljzy2C__oqL Among the videos you will find videos covering basic maintenance such as Oil/air filter change, engine cover removal as well as side vent removal/replacement, water pump/thermostat, shifter cables, clutch switch, coolant bleeding, brake pad changes and bleeding among some other things. Again, apologies for the self promotion, just want to get these out there and hopefully help a few people. If you like the content, some likes and subscribes certainly would be much appreciated!

As a 2010 Boxster owner myself, I will probably appreciate these as well! I will take a look soon, but it sounds like a great effort already!
