Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I am with Boris on this one, as remember having the same issues with my 987 until I had to remove the door car and cleaned the 'fuzzy swipers' on both doors.
Leading evidence: 'Clean 'fuzzy swipers'' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Clean far longer, especially if you blade the walls

Suggestion
It also stays clean far longer, especially if you blade the walls after your shower.

Suggestion
It intended for the outside front glass, and you can literally drive in the rain without the wipers on when its fresh, but could be used anywhere.

Suggestion
Maybe lowering the glass and try to use a brush with some soap/degreaser and agitate the wipers and then use a cloth to dry them as best as possible and see if the issue persists.

I have also done similar to Boris suggestion, and use easy wipe on wipe off hybrid ceramic Turtle wax spray on a full glass shower I have in the master bedroom.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

When my windows get wet, then lowered and raised (post-wash, rain), they are left with a very stubborn film on the
inside
. This film is initially transparent, appearing to be just water (again, on the inside), but then quickly dries to this haze. Removing the haze requires quite a bit of effort, and the streaks return when the window gets wet/lowered/raised.
I think something is happening inside the door cavity or maybe in the rubber gaskets ((if that's the correct term) that sandwich the glass.
Any suggestions on where I should start to diagnose and fix this? Does the pattern of the streaks look meaningful to anyone? Any suggestions on parts terminology for me to research for proper removal/inspection? Thanks for any help.
This is driving me crazy. Thanks for reading this post and any light you can shed.
Is it film? Not sure this will work, especially with film but the first thing I would try is clearcloat safe compound followed by a good wax or just the wax first. That could dissuade the streaks and reduce rub marks.
Yup I wax the windshields in both vehicles, it cleans like a dream for a long time after and removes stuff glass cleaners do not. And in your case it might reduce the streaks. Here's the thing, it's a free experiment with existing products and the wax won't ever hurt the glass.
I switch around, right now Griots liquid wax. Know this, if the cure is worse than the problem a job can get frustrating really quick. I understand why you want to get to the bottom of it but just like a medical procedure? You try PT before you call the surgeon. Good luck.
In the past, I've seen this happen when the swipers at the door are worn or dirty, or if the sliders inside the door (the window glass slides on these to keep it "centered" in the slot) are worn or dirty. In the past, I've replaced those, of course. I don't know if these cars have the same mechanisms, but I expect they have something to keep the windows in place...

Just a totally bizarre thought by me - how about spraying 50/50 alcohol and water mix with them up, then raise and lower them a few times while they're wet... this might just dissolve whatever is causing the streaking, and that concentration shouldn't hurt anything. Or you could just try doing the same with Windex...
As they always say - test in an inconspicuous area first (I have no idea where they might be..)
I've seen many 987 with the same issues that get worse in damp weather/rainy season/after car wash.... the least complicated and cheapest alternative that works if the situation is not too bad.... which is to keep a small microfibre cloth in the car to wipe the glass if this happens. you need to wipe it up fast or use it damp for best results. keep one in the car for quick interior wipes/touch ups. in my case it got better with time (maybe because I wiped the glass so often 😅 )
Rain X also makes a liquid spray that is placed on the glass like a polish/wax that reduces the amount of water droplets or streaks. It intended for the outside front glass, and you can literally drive in the rain without the wipers on when its fresh, but could be used anywhere.
I have also done similar to Boris suggestion, and use easy wipe on wipe off hybrid ceramic Turtle wax spray on a full glass shower I have in the master bedroom. The water beads right off and there are literally no water spots or haze on the glass after showering for months!
ICNU I polish the shower stall with separate Porter Cable pads and the same products for the
Porsche
. It looks new when done, it's 19. It also stays clean far longer, especially if you blade the walls after your shower.
Generally not a great idea to use wax on the windshield. Instead, use a cleaner product like Nu Finish. Wax can be a bear to remove, but the Nu Finish stuff doesn't leave a residue behind that can react to changes in climate where you wind up seeing where you wiped. There are other brands that make "cleaners".
The window door wipers could be contaminated with detailing spray and it is smearing the windows as they go up/down. Could also be some sort of "armor all" product that someone used to detail the window rubber and it got onto the wipers in the door to cause this. Petroleum products can hang around forever.
Maybe lowering the glass and try to use a brush with some soap/degreaser and agitate the wipers and then use a cloth to dry them as best as possible and see if the issue persists.
Both my 07 and my current 11 do this. I have read it's very common. I'm installing subs in the doors soon, I'll ceramic coat the inside of both windows while I'm at it.
Using blackfire black edition ceramic from autogeek. I will check back after and post results. Probably won't stop it but it will sure be easy clean.
