Am I correct in assuming the reason the sensors are new as they were replaced due to the warning message (and finding the pads were OK..)?

Yes I did replace all of them because of the warning, it seemed like the cheapest/quickest way to start.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hello - My 987 is stuck on service wear on brake pads. Sensors are new. Pads are ok. Durametric does not pick up anything. Any ideas? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Hi, and welcome to Planet-9, the friendly Porsche forum! I'm going to do two things - correct the spelling of "breaks" (it's "brakes") and move this to the correct spot in the forum.... Am I correct in assuming the reason the sensors are new as they were replaced due to the warning message (and finding the pads were OK..)? If so - I'd be looking at junctions upstream from the sensors. Look for any connection to the wires from the sensors, if possible, take any you find apart and clean and reassemble. It's rather odd that Durametric doesn't see anything wrong, brake diagnostics are fairly important, and I think Durametric would have that pretty well covered.

BTW - when you have a moment, please wander over to New Member Introductions and tell us all about your 987 (Boxster? Cayman? Standard? /S ?) and yourself! That helps keep things friendly here.. it's highly recommended, and a chance to show off your car with some beautiful photos of it..

POST 4Original post

Hi and thanks for the correction and answer. It is a Basic Boxster, yellow. Yes I did replace all of them because of the warning, it seemed like the cheapest/quickest way to start. I am not sure where to go upstream from the sensor. Any ideas? Cheers.
